MH370 was approaching the Transfer of Control Point between KL ACC and HCM ACC (waypoint IGARI) so Kuala Lumpur air traffic control contacted MH370 at 01:19:26 MYT and instructed MH370 to contact Ho Chi Minh air traffic control on the VHF radio frequency 120.9 MHz.

Notes

1. MH370 was expected to pass waypoint IGARI at 01:22:00 MYT. This waypoint is also the Transfer of Control Point between KL ACC and HCM ACC. So Kuala Lumpur air traffic control instructed MH370 to contact Vietnamese air traffic control.
2. The phrase one two zero decimal niner refers to the radio frequency 120.9 MHz which should be used to contact the Vietnamese air traffic controllers.
